The brew report: The Black Sheep of coffee

  • August 16, 2025

Traveling can be tiring, what better way to recharge then a hot cup of coffee! Might we suggest the Black Sheep Lounge and coffee roasters. Founder and Owner of the Black Sheep, Lucas Spinosa, has created an artist friendly space for coffee lovers, comedy lovers, and music lovers. Bringing people together through the love of coffee since 2015, Black Sheep has always provided a diverse space for the Welland community and travellers stopping by.

Spinosa’s hard work and dedication to the craft of coffee has truly paid off through the years. Spinosa, traveled the world to various places to create a diverse line of coffee to bring back and serve to the community, with farmers and producers they have met, building long lasting friendships along the way. Every coffee has its story, and Black Sheep wants to hear yours! From first dates, album releases, to open mike and comedy nights, the Black Sheep coffee roasters strives to get to know their customers on a deeper level.

Something that stands out about Black Sheep is their dedication to being eco friendly. Since the beginning Black Sheep has been serving cold drinks with metal straws, using eco friendly recycled or compostable packaging for their coffee bean bags and compostable take-out containers. Black Sheep has always strived to do their part to reduce their impact on the environment.

So, sit back and enjoy the vibe in their Welland or Fenwick location and enjoy coffee you know was made with love. Some menu highlights include flat white, devils’ mocha, double espresso.  Black Sheep has something for everyone and of course, you can’t forget about their sweet treats. From cookies, delicious baked pastries, and their impressive breakfast and lunch menus.

Can’t get enough of their coffee? Lucky for you, Black Sheep has an online store where you can buy your favourites brews & they ship to all over Canada so no matter where you are, you can still get the coffee you love. Hours of operation are Wednesday to Sunday 8am to 4pm in Welland or Fenwick
